"If we don’t act today, this generation might be lost. But if we do, the opportunity for a family will be available for a lot of children."
How to say HERE I AM? keyboard_arrow_down
The real problem
When a child is institutionalized (IC), ), they enter a juridical, familiar and emotional uncertainty that can last up to ten years. This time is characterized by the violation of their human rights, since in the legislation there are no devices that address processes for their proper care, register, attention and liberation.
The only requisite for an IC to be adopted is a trial of loss of parental authority (that breaks the judicial link between the IC and their biological family). In order to get to this trail legal documentation and an authority that can represent them is needed.
In Hic Me A.C. we work to improve the life of children, reducing their time in the system.
Our Mission
Hic Me is a team of lawyers, clinicians, and professionals on different aspects of life in México, around the world with a clear mission:
To reduce the time children spend stuck in the system, so they can grow in a loving home.
Say “I AM HERE” with us
Hic Me means “I am here” in Latin. Here we are.
It’s time to raise the voice and multiply the hands that are tended to institutionalized children.
